Monterey Jack’s hits £100k target for Cash for Kids!
Monterey Jack’s American dining restaurant and cocktail bar have announced their fundraising efforts for Cash for Kids across all their Scottish restaurants. Their aim was to raise £100K to support local disadvantage children and they have exceeded this.
All restaurants across Scotland have been asking customers to donate a pound onto their bill, the staff have also been participating in Cash for Kids pillar campaigns such as Cash for Kids Day, Mission Christmas, and also in The Kiltwalk which helped them reach this incredible amount of £130,000!
Scott Abercrombie, Chief operating officer at Monterey Jacks said: “We are totally thrilled to have reached our target – exceeding £130k for our amazing charity partner! We wish to express a heartfelt thanks to the generosity of our awesome customers and of course to our entire team for their work and dedication helping us to meet our pledge…And – we will continue our efforts, as always on behalf of all the good causes we support and hopefully over the next year exceed this amount for our wonderful friends at Cash For Kids and all those in Scotland they support!”
Grace Reilly, Regional Charity Manager at Radio Clyde Cash for Kids, said: “Child poverty in Glasgow and the West of Scotland is at its highest and through the support of corporates like Monterey Jack’s asking customers to donate a pound on the bill, we’re able to ensure children living in some of the most disadvantaged areas receive food and activities throughout the school holidays”
